Forget the Zoo—Try These Incredible Omaha Summer Camps Before They Fill Up

When it comes to Omaha summer camps, some of the most popular options sell out before spring hits. If you didn’t grab a spot at the Henry Doorly Zoo or Camp Zorinsky back in February, don’t worry. 

We’ve rounded up a list of off-the-beaten-path Omaha summer camps that are still accepting registrations and might be an even better fit for your child’s personality. From Irish dancing to design camp, these hidden gems offer big impact with smaller groups and specialized attention.



Ego-Free Golf Camp (Arnold, NE)

If your child has ever been curious about golf, this is the perfect introduction. Ego-Free Golf offers sessions for kids ages 7-12 throughout July. Taught with a gentle, encouraging approach, these camps focus on skill-building without pressure. Two daily sessions: 8:30–10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Interior Design and Decorating Camp at Metro Community College

Future creatives, rejoice! This 4-day camp (June 23-26) introduces middle schoolers (morning session) and high schoolers (afternoon session) to the world of interior design. Kids will learn the fundamentals of decorating, color theory, and space planning.

Melt Yoga Kids Camp

Give your child the gift of mindfulness this summer. Melt Yoga’s camp is for ages 6-10 (or 5 if they’ve completed kindergarten). Each session includes yoga, breathing exercises, crafts, and more.

  • May 26–29 & June 16–19

Farm in the Garden

Farm in the Garden Camp is the perfect place for kids to get hands-on with nature while learning about urban agriculture, gardening, and eco-friendly living—all in a fun, supportive environment!  For ages 6-10, or have completed kindergarten. 

Kalina Art Studio

Located in charming downtown Papillion, Kalina Art Studio offers summer art camps that combine fine art, fun themes, and exploration. Heart & Soul Art Studio

Offering summer camps in dance, music, and musical theater, OSMD has options for every budding performer. A great way to explore stage presence, rhythm, and confidence.

Spark

This innovative camp, run by the Millard Public Schools Foundation, blends STEAM learning and creativity through hands-on projects. Ideal for kids who like building, experimenting, and thinking outside the box.

Millard North Show Choir Camps

Open to any incoming 7th-9th grader from any school! If your child dreams of hitting the stage, this summer camp delivers. These camps teach choreography, singing, and performance in a fun, high-energy setting.

BIG Studio Omaha
