A Place Like No Other in Bellevue (or maybe anywhere)

If you’re searching for something truly unique, look no further than City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska. Tucked just minutes from Offutt Air Force Base, this one-of-a-kind property blends rustic living, creativity, and community spirit in a way you won’t find anywhere else.

Meet the People Behind City Ranch

Ashley and Dan, the husband-and-wife team behind City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska, have created more than a home, they’ve built a destination. With over two acres of land, they’ve turned their passions for woodworking, gardening, and hospitality into businesses that now welcome neighbors and visitors alike.

To really capture the spirit of City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska, we filmed a special feature with Ashley and Dan right on their property. In the video below, you’ll meet the alpacas up close, see the trebuchets in action, and hear the couple share how they built a life filled with woodworking, gardening, and community. Press play to take a virtual visit before you stop by in person!

Alpacas, Trebuchets, and a Backyard Sawmill

What makes City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska so memorable? For starters, four alpacas; Al Paca-chino, Wooly Nelson,Weird ‘Al’paca, and Tupaca, greet visitors in the pasture. Then there are the fully functional medieval-style trebuchets, once used to topple castle walls, now repurposed for launching pumpkins and watermelons.

And just steps away, Dan runs a full-scale sawmill. From mantles and dining tables to wide slabs for home builders, the sawmill supplies both contractors and hobbyists with custom wood that inspires creativity.

The Self-Serve General Store

City Ranch also features a charming roadside general store, stocked with homemade sourdough bread, lavender syrup, elderberry elixir, and seasonal goods. Visitors can stop by anytime, drop cash in the honesty box, and take home a taste of the farm. It’s this spirit of trust and community that keeps neighbors coming back.

More Than a Property – A Community Hub

From getting married in their pasture during the 2019 floods to opening their doors for curious neighbors, Ashley and Dan have made City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska a place of connection. Families stop by to feed alpacas, kids swing through with quarters for snacks, and everyone leaves with a smile and maybe some bread.

You can even plan your visit around other fun things to do nearby. We featured the alpacas at City Ranch in our Spring Activities in Nebraska blog, but the good news is, these friendly animals are here year-round!

Plan Your Visit

Whether you’re looking for fresh baked goods, unique woodworking, or just a chance to meet an alpaca, City Ranch Bellevue Nebraska is worth the stop. Bring your kids, bring a camera, and prepare to experience one of the most surprising and heartwarming destinations in the Omaha metro area. I’ve ever left visiting the alpacas without a smile on my face. That’s a pretty good exchange of value for 25 cents worth of Pac Snacks.
